On Thursday I went to the mommy matinee with my friend Brianna, she shared a story about her best friend that scared me straight. Her best friend had a 4 month old baby and took him to his very first day of daycare. The day before she had called her doctor about a cold that he had and asked if she could do anything to relieve his symptoms. The doctor told her to put a pillow in the crib to prop him up. Against her better judgment she told the daycare to do this. She showed up at the end of the day to sign him out and went over to the crib to wake him from his nap, she found him blue and not responding. He died, the coroner said it was due to suffocation. Last night I decided no more sleeping in the bed for Punky. She doesn't like the idea too much but hopefully she gets used to it cause it's not worth anything happening her. I think she'll get used to it in the next couple of days, fingers crossed!
