bebe pod
Every chance I get I've been putting Una into the bebe pod, she loves it and it's helping her to learn about holding things. I always said that half the reason you get dogs is so you can laugh at them, apparently this rings true for children as well, the shoe ones I was crying laughing. Ridiculous.

The flu etc.
This week's post comes from a tired but happy household. Tom and I got the stomach flu on Monday, we really didn't know what teamwork was until we were both saddled with fevers etc. while trying to parent. I faintly remember trying to change Una's diaper in the middle of the night only to wake up the next morning on the bathroom floor and upon further investigation of her diaper found it on backwards. Somehow through the whole next day, with Tom and I out of it, Una got the memo. She slept for 3 one hour naps, didn't even cry once, and slept through the entire night. We are coming out of it now and feeling better hour by hour. Amidst this action packed viral craziness Una has started to make new sounds (ahhhhh), kick her legs like crazy! (no more swaddle), and sleep in her crib. What can I say, things don't stay the same around here for long.

Free time
Ahhhh, the wonderful world of Un - employment, yep that's right, I got laid off about two and a half weeks after coming back to work. I feel like I'm on that show Punkd, alas, no Ashton Kusher burst out of the fake plant as they escorted me off the premises with my few belongings. Una and I decided to hit the road right away to enjoy our new found albeit somewhat familiar freedom. We hopped in the truck headed for Eugene. One meltdown in a church parking lot in Salem and a feeding later we arrived at my mom and grandma Deirdre's house. Over the mountain and through the woods we used our B.O.B stroller to it's full potential and went shopping for a wonderful dinner with family that evening. We stayed for four days and then came back home to a Tom that had been missing his girls. Such a good visit.
